Prune Now Preparing for Winter
While landscape maintenance season may be winding down, it’s not time to put away the shears yet. In fact, fall and winter are the best seasons to prune trees, hedges, and shrubs because it’s easier to see their overall structure. We can remove dead, diseased, or crossing branches, and ensure that they do not encroach on sidewalks, parking lots, or other frequented areas. We can also make sure that they maintain a certain distance from buildings.
Call your account manager today to find out we can help you take advantage of fall and winter and proactively improve your landscape!
Fall Cleanups to Begin Mid-October
Dependent on weather, James Martin Associates will start fall cleanups mid-October. These visits may take longer than normal and some of the cleanup activities may be divided into multiple visits. These visits are usually scheduled between 10-14 days apart. We will remove all leaves and debris from shrub beds during our final fall cleanup visit.
Please contact your account manager to discuss any end of season details!
Plant Bulbs Now for Spring Color
Did you know that bulbs need at least 45 days below 45° to bloom in the spring? Tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and other bulbs develop their root systems in late fall and early winter so now is the perfect time to get them in the ground. Bulbs often signal the start of spring and provide a welcome, colorful sight after a long winter.
We can plant them up until the ground freezes so contact your account manager to select a bulb that’s perfect for your property!
