Giving back...a celebration!

During JMA's 3rd annual Vendor Appreciation Event, Chris Richards of Midwest Irrigation was the charitable donation raffle winner.  At the event, $1900 in raffle tickets were sold.  JMA matched the raffle amount, raising a total of $3,801.  Chris chose to donate the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Chris Richards (left), Heidi Sibert, Senior Vice President and Landscape Architect presented the check to Andrew Music, Outreach Coordinator and Melissa Stockwell Iraqi war veteran at the Chicago Headquarters in Oakbrook, IL.

Melissa Stockwell of the Wounded Warrior Project is a first lieutenant and the first woman soldier to lose a limb in the Iraq War.  She became the first Iraq veteran chosen for the Paralympics.  She is an inspiration to all and her story can be read at www.melissastockwell.com.

Andrew Music serviced two tours with the Marine Corps infantry in Africa and Iraq.  He was in a couple of IED's and sustained traumatic brain injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The Wounded Warrior project, a non-profit organization, has made it their mission to honor and empower wounded warriors.  Their vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history.  For more information on the Wounded Warrior Project visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

At JMA we feel fortunate to have such great partnerships and to be able to support the charitable interests of our vendors, clients and associates.
